About us
Originally built in the
1880's as a family home and was then probably no more than a 2up 2down
building. Over the years the house was extended considerably until the
early 1980's when from a large family home it was converted into
a retirement home. Then around 1987 Broad Oak was first used as an B&B/hotel
and continued up to 1993 when we puchased the property.
Extending the property
did not stop there. We have totally modernised the original and added a
further five rooms, making each one fully en-suite with shower, vanity
unit and toilet.
Set in almost 3 acres
of wooded grounds, Broad Oak Hotel is ideal for those wishing to tour the
south coast, whether it be Chichester, about 15 miles to the east, Winchester,
about 20 miles to the north or Portsmouth & Southsea, 10 miles to the
west.
There are single bedded, double bedded and
twin bedded rooms. Also 2 family rooms, one with a double and single bed the other with a double
and two single beds. All rooms are of a generous size, and in each we offer the
usual refinements such as colour TV, radio clock alarm, hair dryer, towel
sets, tea and coffee making facilities and what we hope is close to that
home from home feel.
We have recently added
